About the Oklahoma Football Coaches Association (OFBCA)
Who We Are
The Oklahoma Football Coaches Association was founded in 1962, by football coaches, for football coaches. Our Association was "Organized for the Advancement of Football in the state of Oklahoma." We want to protect and progress this great game, for our great state!
What We Do
- We want to provide our members with the best coach’s education through our winter and summer football coaching clinics.
- We want to provide our member’s children with scholarship opportunities.
- We want to grow our profession, through recruiting new coaches and providing financial aid through our Joe Tunnell Journeyman Scholarship.
- We will act as a liaison between the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association as we lobby for future change and provide an untied voice on issues affecting and pertaining to football.
- We will honor senior football players each year through the selection of the OFBCA All-Star by class teams.
- We nominate and select the Oklahoma Nominee for the American Football Coaches Association Power of Influence Award.
- We nominate and select the Oklahoma recipient of the High School Broyles Award for the State of Oklahoma’s top assistant coach.
- We bring relevant football topics and current advancements directly to your desktop.
